The new initiative equips workforce leaders with strategies to integrate AI into work design, workforce planning, and employee development.

As AI reshapes the workplace, senior workforce leaders face a defining moment. AI is changing how work gets done, who does it, and the very nature of workforce planning. In response, The Learning Forum, in partnership with Reejig, today announced the launch of The Work Design Collaborative. This initiative gives senior workforce leaders the structure to design, build, and lead the workforce of the future.

The Work Design Collaborative is a dedicated forum for top leaders at major US enterprises. These are the leaders driving AI adoption and workforce redesign. It offers a collaborative space to share insights. Members pioneer strategies for navigating the profound changes AI creates at work.

The initiative gives leaders an active role in redesigning work processes. They align employees and AI agents. They embed development into work itself.

Through quarterly in-person workshops and an ongoing collaboration platform, members gain access to strategic frameworks, practical implementation approaches, and real-world insights from peers facing similar challenges.

The timing is critical

New 2025 McKinsey research reveals that 47% of employees expect AI to reshape 30% of their work this year alone. The gap between AI's promise and reality is striking. BCG research shows 74% of organizations struggle to scale AI effectively. But a small group of leaders has cracked the code. They achieve 1.5x higher revenue growth and 1.6x greater shareholder returns. Their secret isn't better technology. It's how they design their work and develop their people.

Every enterprise is deploying AI. Almost none can see the work they're deploying it into.

A strategic opportunity for workforce leaders

"AI is not just a technology. It's a catalyst for rethinking work. Senior workforce leaders have a critical role to play. They must align workforce strategies with business goals during this shift. The Work Design Collaborative provides the space for leaders to come together and lead this change."

Meighan Hackett, Director at The Learning Forum

With AI automating tasks, augmenting roles, and creating entirely new positions, the Collaborative focuses on helping leaders:

  • Reinvent work organization and design. Reimagine workflows, roles, and task allocation for an AI-driven future.
  • Establish a common language for work. Define a unified structure for tasks, skills, and roles across your organization.
  • Redefine development and performance support. Embed development directly into work for continuous upskilling.
  • Integrate AI agents across the enterprise. Bring AI agents seamlessly into your workforce.

Led by industry pioneers

The Work Design Collaborative is guided by the team at Reejig, the Work Operating System for AI-powered work. Reejig gives organizations the visibility to boldly redesign their workforce for the AI era.

"This isn't just about adapting to AI. It's about fundamentally reimagining how work gets done. Through The Work Design Collaborative, we're giving workforce leaders the structure to architect entirely new ways of working. They maximize both human potential and AI capabilities. The organizations that get this right won't just survive. They'll lead."
